Rendimos un homenaje sonoro a un importante concertista, compositor, director de orquesta y académico: Francisco Savín, quien inició su carrera musical como intérprete, para luego destacar por su sobriedad, técnica y temperamento al frente de una orquesta. Bajo su batuta estuvieron la Orquesta Sinfónica Nacional y la de Xalapa. También fungió como director huésped en República Checa, Italia, España, Polonia, Centro y Sudamérica.

A 88 años del nacimiento de este compositor mexicano, te proponemos escuchar una de sus composiciones: Pequeño concierto para fagot y cuerdas, interpretado por la Orquesta de Cámara de Bellas Artes, con Leandro Espinosa en el fagot y el propio Savín en la dirección musical.

Esta grabación se encuentra en una cinta de carrete abierto, en la que se hace referencia al 12 Foro Internacional de Música Nueva en el Ex templo de Santa Teresa la Antigua.
