Vicente Riva Palacio

Un día como hoy, pero de 1832, nació el poeta mexicano Vicente Riva Palacio, quien destacó como político, escritor, jurista y militar liberal. Te invitamos a escuchar una composición atribuida al general Riva Palacio, "El gusto federal", que hizo después de expulsar a los franceses de Huetamo, Michoacán, durante la segunda intervención francesa del siglo XIX. La interpretación de este gusto emblemático corre a cargo de un conjunto de tamborita, proveniente probablemente del mismo Huetamo, que muestra un estilo particular de ejecución de esta zona.
