Nicandro Castillo

El cantante y compositor Nicandro Castillo nació un día como hoy, pero de 1914. El “Rey del Huapango” es reconocido por haber realizado la primera grabación de son huasteco en 1934, y por haber creado aproximadamente 100 canciones que han sido interpretadas por personajes como Pedro Infante y Antonio Aguilar, entre otros. Para recordarlo te compartimos un fragmento de la presentación del libro Nicandro Castillo, el hidalguense, en el que el investigador Enrique Rivas Paniagua y Pável Granados hacen una semblanza de la música de la huasteca hidalguense, acompañados por las interpretaciones del trío Los Hermanos Crespo.
