Recordamos al astrónomo, investigador y académico mexicano Guillermo Haro, a 27 años de su fallecimiento. Cuando ingresó al Colegio Nacional sólo tenía 40 años de edad, lo que lo convirtió en uno de los miembros más jóvenes. En 1963 recibió el Premio Nacional de Ciencias y en 1971 fundó el Instituto Nacional de Astrofísica, Óptica y Electrónica (INAOE). Descubrió numerosos cuerpos celestes, entre ellos la T Tauri, una supernova, más de 10 novas y un cometa.
