Concha Michel

En el aniversario número 26 de la muerte de la cantautora, activista, escritora, profesora y etnomusicóloga mexicana Concha Michel, la recordamos en nuestro audio del día.

Como parte de su labor en la divulgación y recopilación de canciones indígenas, Michel fue fundadora del Instituto del Folklor en Michoacán, llegando a contar con más de cinco mil registros.

Para conocer más sobre ella, te compartimos una charla que tuvo con Margaría García Flores en 1984, en la que habla sobre su relación con José Vasconcelos y su participación en las misiones culturales. Asimismo, habla sobre sus cantos revolucionarios y las diferentes canciones tradicionales que compiló a lo largo de su vida.
