El audio del día recuerda que un día como hoy murió el compositor, pianista, arreglista, cantante y director de orquesta mexicano Luis Arcaraz (1910-1963), quien, sin tener una educación como músico, formó y dirigió su orquesta, con la que se presentó en los teatros y estaciones de radio más prestigiadas del país.

A 54 años de su fallecimiento te invitamos a escuchar una de sus composiciones más famosas: Viajera, con letra de Mario Molina Montes, y considerada la mejor canción de 1949 dentro de la música popular mexicana.

Esta grabación aparece en el disco compacto México: historia y música del siglo XX v. 1, editado por EMI Music México en el año 2000 y se encuentra resguardado en el acervo de la Fonoteca Nacional.
