Hoy rendimos un homenaje sonoro al compositor jalisciense Antonio Gomezanda, a 123 años de su nacimiento, cuya obra se ubica dentro del nacionalismo romántico mexicano. Julián Carrillo y Manuel M. Ponce fueron sus maestros, y gracias al apoyo de José Vasconcelos realizó estudios en París.

Como audio del día, hemos seleccionado Danza oaxaqueña, en la interpretación al piano de Alan Marks.

Pieza incluida en el CD Antonio Gomezanda: Orchesterwerke / Alan Marks, piano, editado por Koch Schwann Records en 1995.
